Meg Mooring PT, MCSP, MCPA, Cert.MDT (owner)
Meg who is the Physiotherapist and is the clinic owner comes from Scotland; trained in England; came to Canada in 1987 and to Nova Scotia in 1992. She has extensive general experience and currently specializes in Spinal Treatment. Attending North American and International MacKenzie Spinal Conferences is top priority. Keeping up to date is essential says Meg.
Howard Makofsky RMT, DHSc
Howard Makofsky, is a graduate of the ICT-Northumberland College in Halifax, NS. Howard is also a US trained Physiotherapist, with over 30 years experience, who has devoted his career to the practice of manual therapy. He was an Associate Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at the New York Institute of Technology in Old Westbury, NY from 1999 - 2012 and is currently an Adjunct Professor at Touro College in Bayshore, NY. He has published over 25 articles in the manual therapy literature and his textbook, Spinal Manual Therapy, An Introduction to Soft Tissue Mobilization, Spinal Manipulation, Therapeutic and Home Exercises is used in many countries by clinicians who specialize in the treatment of spinal and soft tissue pain. Howard's training is eclectic in nature and includes courses in osteopathic manual medicine, chiropractic motion palpation, and the McKenzie approach among many others. Howard's recent training in Massage Therapy gives him a more holistic approach to the management of individuals in pain. He is currently working on his license to practice Physiotherapy in Canada.
